Introduction
The New Taipei City Bilingual Program is dedicated to improving the “Excellent English Proficiency” of students in New Taipei City and Taiwan overall. The program provides English teachers opportunities to exchange teaching methods and ideas for junior high and senior high school students. Established in 2015, the New Taipei City Bilingual Program now includes the best 27 junior high schools, 5 senior high schools, and 34 native English-speaking teachers. This program not only aims to teach our students English, but to also provide a globalized teaching experience for our English teachers.

Teachers will meet once a month to exchange/share lesson plans, teaching resources, teachers workshop, and go through a co-teaching demo. Introduction
The Taoyuan Senior High School FET program is a government sponsored program that promotes a bilingual learning environment by strengthening the English proficiency of high school students in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The program started with eight schools and gradually expanded to 16 schools as of 2019. We welcome teachers from all over the world to join our program, and help us create a more diversified learning experience to broaden the horizons of our future generations.
In 2019, the education system in Taoyuan City was reformed to reflect different some different philosophies of education and teaching. Now, the new teaching curriculum places more emphasis on empowering students through nurturing individual potential and facilitating lifelong learning. This new education culture provides more opportunity for the program as our foreign teachers are the greatest human asset to empower learners to explore the world. With this new emphasis, our students will be able to practice connecting with new people, the environment, and different cultures, and as a result begin to show greater competence in learning.

Introduction
Wenchang’s English Village was established in November of 2007 for the sole purpose of providing an all-English learning environment for students. It began with nine classroom scenarios; a hotel, police station, clinic, shopping center, airplane cabin, customs office, post office, performance center, and restaurant. It is in these rooms that students prepared for real world situations by gaining experience in these simulations. In addition, native speaking English teachers were hired and bilingual courses were introduced in several junior high schools.
In 2017, the English village was assigned by the Education Bureau to establish the English Teaching This immersion program involves combining different subjects with English such as acting, radio broadcasting, reader’s theater, physical education, scouts, etc. In order to cultivate the true passion of the students, foreign teachers are encouraged to create fun lesson plans, incorporating the content with language learning.

In this program, foreign teachers are allocated to 32 elementary schools (co-employment included). Our goal is to increase the interests of students learning English by strengthening the English teaching effectiveness and promoting English courses. In addition, the interaction between foreign and local teachers helps develop and polish each others’ English teaching skills.

According to the Taoyuan City Bilingual program promoted by the Ministry of Education, with the purpose of improving the effectiveness of English teaching and implementation in elementary schools, Taoyuan Education Bureau has designated Yi-Xing Bilingual & Innovative School to be the head of the Bilingual Program this school year.
We currently allocate foreign teachers to four elementary schools including Yi-Xing, Happy, Qing-Pu, and NeiLi Elementary School. Our goal is to increase the interests of students learning English by strengthening the English teaching effectiveness and promoting English courses. In addition, the interaction between foreign and local teachers helps develop and polish each others’ English teaching skills.
Additionally, the coordinators from Teach Taiwan are a great help. The coordinators assist foreign teachers in finding living accommodations, applying for an ARC (ID card), and dealing with any issues encountered in Taiwan.
